Turmoil in the financial industry and growing pessimism about the economy have altered the shape of the presidential race, giving Democratic nominee Barack Obama the first clear lead of the general-election campaign over Republican John McCain, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News national poll.
Just 9 percent of those surveyed rated the economy as good or excellent, the first time that number has been in single digits since the days just before the 1992 election. Just 14 percent said the country is heading in the right direction, equaling the record low on that question in polls dating back to 1973.

They admit they oversampled blacks, who just coincidently LOVE the public feeding trough and the candidates who promise more feeding time.

Whoever believes a Washington Post poll, give me a shout. I have this bridge in Brooklyn.
A clear break with the Administration's massive bailout program would be a stronger indication of McCain's maverick status than his choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate. If he does not, Obama could win this one, and God help us if he does.
Of course these Marxists will start believing their own lies. They will be stunned when McCain destroys Obama. So shocked they will immediately claim voter fraud.

I’ve got news for you. If they’ll do a reverse of this poll: 30% random democrats, 40% Republicans, and add 163 white women from Lubbock, TX, McCain will have a 20 point lead, not 9 like Obama’s trumped up numbers show. He must be 5 points behind for them to have only conjured a 9 lead with that polling method. I cannot believe this garbage is actually considered a poll. Disgusting manipulation of numbers.

Barack Hussein Obama is nothing more than a media strategy to create a brand identity aimed at a specific target audience. Obama is the jingle in your head that you can’t get rid of, the glossy 8 x 10 photo-shopped picture that implies more than it reveals. His campaign is an infomercial filled with repeating taglines and a catchy slogan that repeats every 7 minutes because voters have neither the inclination nor the desire to pay attention for longer periods of time. This “Politi-mercial” over promises and under delivers. If you pay now they will throw in a few free items for you, (like government benefits, revenge against the successful and release from your guilt at being born white) but in the end all you get is a few pieces of shoddy merchandise that will fall apart the first time you actually use it for something important.
Amen to that. Search is worthless especially when people enter goofy keywords.
