Because, yet again, they are being cowered by an obviously Democrat-leaning press.

To even MENTION that Obama’s “Advisors” and prominent black Democrats are a$$-deep in this would be RACIST, doncha know....

Repubs are still hammering on the “DRILL NOW” theme, but have you heard that in the press lately? NO...

It won't really matter the culprits are Democrats if the public decides the GOP Administration is to blame. They'll take it out on McCain. That's not fair but perceptions matter and if this financial meltdown hadn't come along, McCain's lead would have been more lasting. People especially seniors, are afraid of losing their retirement income. We can pooh pooh it all we want but it can't be discounted the GOP can still lose. Its not what I'd call a favorable year. And we need to look at the truth honestly and see that in a case like this, the party in power in the White House gets the blame for the mess and no way McCain can make it look good.
