Iranian Christian convert Ramtin Soudmand faces the death penalty after being jailed for the crime of 'ertedad' or abandoning the Muslim faith.
Ramtin's father Hossein Soudmand, a Protestant pastor, was executed almost 20 years ago for converting to Christianity and refusing to deny his new faith.
Married with two children, Soudmand was detained by security officials in Mashad about a month ago.
The Iranian Parliament is currently considering a law to make apostasy or the renunciation of the Muslim faith a crime. It is expected to be passed soon.
"The thing that bothers us the most is the silence by political and religious authorities of Christian countries, and not the attitude of the Islamic Republic that does not recognise the freedom of its citizens to choose their own faith,"

Death cannot stop us from continuing to praise God as Christ conquered death; prayers.
True enough. If a Muslim were jailed and executed for his faith in a non-Muslim country (by the gov't of that country) the world/UN would throw a major fit. But Muslim governments executing Christians solely for their faith? (Almost) dead silence.
May God bless and strengten all who are persecuted for His Sake.
But why are we silent about this outrage?
Amen. We will see and rejoice with this dear brother in paradise soon.
“The Iranian Parliament is currently considering a law to make apostasy or the renunciation of the Muslim faith a crime.”
While here in America we are introducing a bill to prevent the establishment of Sharia law — a bill that may never see the light of day. Guess which country will survive.
It is not necessary to become outraged about the fate of our Christian brothers and sisters. We are good people; we conduct prayer breakfasts. (Pass me the scrambled eggs.)
On the other hand, why is this even considered news? We know that apostasy may be punished by death in Islam. That is not news.
In the day of judgment God in Christ will avenge his saints, martyred for His namesake: Revelation 6:9-11.
Christian martyrs, which are true martyrs, are killed by others for Christ's sake, they do not kill themselves (suicide or self-murder) and others (murder) in the name of religion.
The dominant religion in the middle east has false martyrs.
And death is the true nature is Islam. Read the koran and hadith to understand the only times they are truly following the command of Allah is when they are killing in his name, forcing conversions to Islam, or subjugating and taxing non-believers. Sura (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution of Muslims is worse than slaughter of non-believers...and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."
Sura (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"
Sura (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"
Bukhari (52:177) - Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."
Tabari 7:97 The morning after the murder of Ashraf, the Prophet declared," Kill any Jew who falls under your power."
Ibn Ishaq: 327 - Allah said, A prophet must slaughter before collecting captives. A slaughtered enemy is driven from the land. Muhammad, you craved the desires of this world, its goods and the ransom captives would bring. But Allah desires killing them to manifest the religion.
Where are the LIBERALS CHANTING ...’Separation of Church and State’ .. (crickets chirp)
Thought so.
Martyrdom of our Christian brothers and sisters SHOULD be of concern that prompts prayer and pressure on these countries.
