NYT: McCain aide's firm was paid by Freddie Mac (this is beyond "bias")

One of the giant mortgage companies at the heart of the credit crisis paid $15,000 a month to a firm owned by Senator John McCain's campaign manager from the end of 2005 through last month, according to two people with direct knowledge of the arrangement.

The disclosure contradicts a statement Sunday night by Mr. McCain that the campaign manager, Rick Davis, had no involvement with the company for the last several years. Mr. Davis's firm received the payments from the company, Freddie Mac, until it was taken over by the government this month along with Fannie Mae, the other big mortgage lender whose deteriorating finances helped precipitate the cascading problems on Wall Street, the people said

It's almost unbelievable. Dodd, Obama, Frank...they all took money from Freddie/Fannie and enabled the mortgage "crisis." But this is what the NYT and MSNBC covers.

How much $ did Obama take from Fannie and Freddie? 2nd most in the Congress.

Isn’t that newsworthy? Lest we forget the role Raines and Johnson have played in his campaign.

Unreal.

McCain needs to bring this up at the DEBATES! Bush needs to go out fighting. Hammer the Democrats for their corruption in this mortgage mess!

Davis ran a law firm that did lobbying for hire, he himself has had clean hands for years now, they are merely trying to deflect attention from Obama’s choices in campaign advisers.

And of course, Obama’s 130k plus himself.

Here’s a story you won’t see the Times write:

Barack Obama > Tony Rezko > Low Income Housing Tax Credits > Guess which entities are major buyers of LIHTCs (hint: their friends call them Fannie and Freddie)?

Mind you I don’t know if Fannie or Freddie bought any of the credits in the Rezko/Obama tax credit deals, but maybe someone with better research skills than mine could find out.

Half way down page 2 of the 7 page hit piece, the NYSlimes deigns to mention that McCain is “attacking” The One for his ties to F&F. The point isn’t to be even handed, it is to try to make McCain look hypocritical...

It would be obvious, even to a die-hard Liberal, that the Times and MSNBC are in the tank for Obama. But, they just snicker a post crap about “the right wing media” on DU.

The Left owns the MSM. They know they wouldn’t win an electin without the Media. It is their prized possession and they will do everything and anything to keep control of it.
