Good instead of a bailout, let’s shine some light on the scurrying cockroaches who caused this mess.

I like George Bush. On balance, I think he’s been a decent President. He cut taxes and he’s stood firm against international terrorism.
But like his daddy, he’s a government man. He believes in government. He thinks government is often the solution, rather than the problem.
And I think most of us conservatives knew that deep down back in 2000.

if the bailout doesnt work
First I've heard of this... If there is even a question, that makes it doubly important to crush this bailout and put the ringleaders in prison forever. This includes any member of the US House and Senate, including republicans, that are found guilty.

The US Congress, so much more equal than all others.
A Bailout -- without citizens voting-- giving $100,000 from EVERY homeowner
to the very bankers and Congressbastards who invited the crimillegal aliens in, in the first place.

The Republicans should get out in front opposing this bailout, and hang the whole mess around the necks of the Democrats who were in the tank for Fannie and Freddie.
It doesn't help that McCain can't buy a clue on this. Geez, he co-sponsored the bill in 2005 to reform Fannie and Freddie, but you won't here about it from him or his campaign. Instead he attacks Republicans like Chris Cox, and promotes Democrats.

Why is nobody on our side talking about the root of the problem - the relaxed lending standards with a mind to ‘universal’ home ownership, aka social engineering?

“I demand that all those greedy ceos of bankrupt corps, pay back their loot.
And let’s make that retroactive to those crooks, Franklin Raines and Jim Johnson who were stealing their millions from Fannie Mae during the Clintoon years. While we are at it, let’s make Dodd and Obama return all their loot from FM’s lobbyists. It’s time they all start “giving back” till it hurts.

Amen. The dissident Congressmen and GOP voters can turn this around. Speak out against bail-out.

“Free Market” conservatives have got to realize that alot of the sentiment against the Wall Street bail outs is NOT against “capitalism” but against bailing out “capitalists” who fail; and in this case many who did fail did so because of how deeply they accepted the anti-capitalist agenda of the Freddie and Fannie enterprises structured with the implicit guarantee that at the end of the day the taxpayer would rescue them.
Often, when you find “greedy corporate” heads, you find “capitalists” who capitalized better than others in their government connections, and reliance on government rules bent their way, and not in their “free enterprise”.
One does not become an “anti-capitalist” for allowing failed business to fail.
