if this kid was in college it would be another thing, but I don’t think this kid should have worn the shirt and his parents shouldn’t have allowed him to wear it to school. JMO, but there are enough detractors in school. It makes no sense for elementary kids to target themselves in this way. Cool with the shirt, just not on a little kid in school...again, JMVHO

Does the school ban all political slogans on shirts during school hours?
the kid, "wore it on a day when students were asked to wear red, white and blue"
To: Brown Deer
The kid and his father were on Fox News Channel today. It bothered me when the kid said his father told him to wear the shirt.

I can’t wait for the ACLU to come stand up for this kids rights /sarcasm
I suppose they are too busy defending terrorists instead

... they review any situation that interrupts the learning environment.
Learning environment? In a public school? What's wrong with learning that terrorists like Obama? Anyway, I thought they were teaching tolerance for terrorists in public schools today. Certainly, we have history books for kids that say
"jihad" to Muslims means "doing good works."

How left can they be...they asked the kids tro show their patriotism by wearing red, white and blue. That shirt was designed to provoke a reaction. Seems to me dad's looking for a law suit. Obama has those colors in his logo and Obama doesn't seem to be patriotic.

Thanks for posting it BD. If you hadn’t, I wouldn’t have seen it. I work all day and don’t always get to sit down and read the latest on FR until after dinner.
God bless this (very smart) kid and his dad!

Here a tee-shirt suggestion.
An undeniable truth.... Those that danced in the streets on 9/11, will dance again on 11/5, if Obama is elected!

The search feature is notoriously bad with new posts.
And this is the first I’ve seen it.

Agreed. Wonder if that guy hangs out with Michael Newdow?

Im sorry, but in the fifth grade a child is ten or eleven. How strongly can a ten year old really feel about this? Though I may agree with these people (outside of actually naming your child Daxx, ughh!) it just looks to me like somebody using their child as a mouthpiece. It is like when I see these people with five year olds with mohawks. Yeah, like that was his idea. Do you think this kid would have been expelled if he had a shirt that said McCain or Bush was a terrorist? THAT is the point!

It seems to me this kid and his father have an excellent opportunity to make some money with this T-shirt.
I want them to sell exact duplicates of this T-shirt. I want to buy one for myself and one for my wife. We would proudly wear it to “get in the face” of the Hussein supporters.
To: Brown Deer
the kid, "wore it on a day when students were asked to wear red, white and blue" Yes, and he did wear red white and blue.
However, patriotic really isn't the same as political.
While I wouldn't personally call the Democratic party patriotic, there are a lot of union members that are both very patriotic, and very Democrat.
