Hi Everyone. Hadn’t posted in a long time but trying hard to keep up with specifics on things leading up to the election, and this is the best place to do that. What is the name of that act Rush cited about 20 minutes ago that Clinton signed in 1999 that opened the door to all this crazy lending that caused the collapse? I couldn’t get to my desk to write it down before I forgot it. Hope everyone is doing really well. :)

Biden is such a Godsend. It just doesn’t get any better than him. Can he run as Veep if he’s also being charged with threatening the life of a Presidential candidate, his own Presidential Candidate??? :)

Yes. I believe he said the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act which was developed because of The Glass-Steagall Act.

What Was The Glass-Steagall Act?

In 1933, in the wake of the 1929 stock market crash and during a nationwide commercial bank failure and the Great Depression, two members of Congress put their names on what is known today as the Glass-Steagall Act (GSA). This act separated investment and commercial banking activities. At the time, "improper banking activity", or what was considered overzealous commercial bank involvement in stock market investment, was deemed the main culprit of the financial crash. According to that reasoning, commercial banks took on too much risk with depositors' money.

Wow. THAT sounds familiar. History repeating itself. Thank You Bill Clinton, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.
