Sitting Room Only for Obama in Green Bay September 22, 2008 2:53 PM
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin packed the house last week in Green Bay, Wis., at the Resch Center.
Not so today in the same arena with Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., as ABC News' Sunlen Miller captured in these photos.
There are some complications that (IMO) will make PA go for McCain. Our Gov., Ed Rendell was a strong Hillary supporter. He seems lukewarm at best in his campaigning for BHO...yet he was in Philly yesterday for Today Show face time w/Meredith Vierra plugging for Barry. If Rendell is looking ahead to Hillary in 2012, the dead will rest on 11/4 and no 'huge' turnout will occur in Philly.
Also, James Carville describes PA as 'Philadelphia and Pittsburgh w/Alabama in between.' (Alabama being the 'T' of the state). AL will not go BHO...its solid red.
Lastly, Pittsburgh in particular is still really blue collar union. Sorry...but, again, I can't see the average United Steel Worker or United Mine Worker (or pipefitter, et al) going to the polls and voting for Barry (no matter what their Union tells them to do).
Alot see it this way as well...and...
BARRACK OBAMA HATES THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS...HE IS A EAGLES FAN...PASS IT ON!!!

LOL!
Thanks for describing the PA scene. It’s always interesting to me to get a report from on the ground.
I just heard on the radio, that a Quinnipiac poll here in MN has Obama at 47% to McCain’s 45%. I take that as a very good sign. No way McCain should be that close in this blue state. I love it!
BTW, go Vikes! LOL
;)PaMom
Don’t spread that around in Green Bay. Obama would be elevated to messiah status er, uh, something like that. :)
