“Obama would be done!”
No way.
Unfortunately, this is only the first installment. If he loses we will have the new and improved BO next time around.
Too many people have invested too much time and money into the most liberal socialist member of the Senate to let him just fade away.
I wouldn’t be so sure. I think the Clintons will push to get as many Dem state parties to switch from a caucus to primary format as possible. between now and 2012, under the guise of the nominee being the most representative of the party rather than just the activists. If Obama is thumped badly that will have some momentum.
Bill C is really throwing Obama the anvil these days.

If Obama loses, he’s done.
The DNC, media, unions, etc. had a choice: pick Clinton and get a fraction of what you want done and pay the Clinton’s their considerable helper’s fee or get everything you want done for practically nothing (just toss some pork to Chicago) and be in full control of everything by backing the charismatic muppet.
They gambled everything on the muppet and why not. they own the media, they own Hollywood, the unions, the papers, and can raise tons of cash. How can they lose? Plus Obama willl do what he’s told.
If he fails, the Clinton’s will control the party (out Dean, out Pelosi, Daley, etc) and they will use the media to destroy Obama to make sure he never stands in their way again.
Obama, Its whats for dinner.
