If you really want to annoy the libtards, point them to this quote from Barney Frank, in opposition to greater oversight of Fanny and Freddy, September 11, 2003:

“These two entities — Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — are not facing any kind of financial crisis,” said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. “The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”
And then just say, See this whole mess is a simply welfare program gone wrong!

//////////////
WOW come on McCain, make a video of THAT. And end it with

AMERICA!! APPROVES THIS AD.

So....I'm no lawyer.

But is it possible to start a type of class action lawsuit against these idiots in Washington?

Barney Frank, Dodd, Raines, Gorelick, et al....

I don't care if it's a Pubbie...or a Dim...they all need to be GONE!!

TERM LIMITS...it's what's for dinner.

Their loss.

They can check out every fact asserted in the article. It’s easy to do so.

If they want to remain ignorant, otay.

Of course, but unfortunately they won't do that. Liberals aren't looking for the truth; they are looking for things that support their belief system. Dismissing the content because of the source is a chief weapon in their arsenal.

BTW, as predicted, the LibTard sent me back a response basically calling me an idiot for believing an article written by a McCain staffer.

No, I don't think we should dismiss it either. But let's take an objective look at the implications. Remember, look at what they DO not what they say.

In this case, McCain's actions clearly show he was concerned about Fannie/Freddie and trying to do something about it. House and Senate Democrats (and some Republicans) clearly show the opposite.

On Day One it does not appear that the Wall Street Bail Out that you advocate is not working all that well. The Dow is down 400 Points and oil went up $25.00.

I don’t like the bailout. There had to be another way but I don’t know what it is.

“Dismissing the content because of the source is a chief weapon in their arsenal.”

Let’s be fair - this is perhaps the most common way for Freepers to avoid dealing with news items they find unappealing - “Look at the source, the NY Slimes, WaPo, Reuters, AP, Agence France-Presse, Guardian,” etc. And let’s not even start on the opinion writers/editorialists!

Is there even one source that the Right and the Left can agree on? Bloomberg? Maybe if we started that way, we could get some facts in agreement without spin. The Left and the Right both spin - but we all spend out time arguing over whose spin is more pernicious rather than what we should do once the facts are established.

This is true. I like to think that I personally am not that way. I know I have conceded points to this particular libtard in discussions where he has been correct on some point. However, I have yet to see a libtard (and this one in particular) admit when they are wrong. If pressed, they will go off on some tangent or respond to an argument you are not making, or worst case just not reply. It's one of their most annoying qualities.

Example: I had an argument with the libtard about Obama's asking the Iraqi foreign minister to hold off on signing agreements to finalize terms for a complete US withdrawal from Iraq. The Libtard first started by questioning the source, then when that wasn't feasible anymore he insisted that the argument was around withdrawal of any troops at all. When I pointed out that we were already withdrawing troops, and that the argument was clearly not about that, he just refused to concede that point. He just kept doggedly referring to his interpretation of the headline of the first article I sent him.

Well that’s one guy. Perhaps he’s a lost cause and you can never change his closed mind. Or do you have a hope, (like so many unhappy women in failing relationships, not that you are one) that you can CHANGE him, if only you come up with the right argument, etc?

If you don’t think you can change him, then why do you continue to argue with the person? Maybe there is something else we get out of arguing with stubborn Liberals, like a chance to review/hone our own positions, etc. He prolly is moaning on Kos or DU about his “idiot winger friend” who
refuses to look at facts!

This isn’t the place to rehash the interpretation of Taheri’s NY Post piece regarding Zebari’s remarks about Obama, but there is a lot of argument about Taheri’s reliability. (Maybe not on The Corner, but around the rest of the world) If the piece that your pal argued about was based on the assertions/interpretation of ONE guy who has a history of publishing fraudulently sourced books, wouldn’t you dispute it too? Of course cause you will follow the facts rather than the interpretation. If the tables were reversed, you would make the same argument.

If you hold him in such low esteem as to repeatedly disparage him in public as a libtard, why is he still your pal? Don’t throw pearls before swine, as the Good Book says.... I’ve got a pal whose political views I would never agree with, but hell he’s good at rebuilding transmissions in the driveway. I’ll praise him for that! Maybe not politics so much. But he’s a decent guy and I won’t insult him for his politics, even here in a Safe Zone.

Just sayin’

Hassett was just on Dennis Prager’s program and said he has already received 100’s of nasty messages. No substance to refute what he has written—just nastiness.

If the libtards are competent at one thing, it’s being nasty.
