Barack Obama wants to live in the White House - but his youngest half-brother lives in the poorhouse.

George Obama, one of the candidate’s seven living half-siblings, lives on pennies a month in a hut in Africa, the Italian edition of Vanity Fair revealed.

“No one knows who I am,” George Obama, 26, told the magazine. “I live like a recluse, no one knows I exist.”

He lives on the outskirts of Nairobi in a 65-square-foot shack decorated with posters of the Italian soccer clubs AC Milan and Inter, and a calendar of beaches.

“I live here on less than a dollar a month,” he said.

The younger Obama has a front-page newspaper photo of his famous brother, the Democratic candidate who lives in a $1.65 million restored Georgian mansion in Chicago.

George Obama should not be an issue in this campaign, as he is an adult AND he shows Obama is full of crap when he goes on about "the least of my brothers". He is walking, talking evidence of the candidate's hypocrisy.

Sarah Palin's daughter,on the other hand, definitely should be an issue, as she is a minor and proves Palin is not a hypocrite for holding pro-life views.

This seems in keeping with sociologist Arthur Brooks’ data showing that secular people are much less generous, both with money and time, than religious people.

As an atheist who used to work in a homeless shelter, I can say that this is true. The other staffers were contemptuous of Christians (I'm not quite sure of their religious denominations, but I thought they were some form of Liberal Protestants or something more New Age), but all the regular volunteers were Christians.
