I don’t know...anyone?
The LA Times has run a hit piece every day! And will continue to do so. I am surprised they havent accused her of text messaging the ill-fated Metrolink train engineer yet...
The Palin CA rally was supposed to be in Silicon Valley....it was more for fundraising than vote getting.
How ironic, they want to convince folks that Sarah is not who they think she is. Meanwhile they remain blind to the fact that Obama is not who they believe he is. Liberals are truly sad cases.
Berkeley or San Francisco
I’ll keep you in my prayers.
That is exactly the right read.
We are doomed to be hoaxed all the way to the election on polls.
Your internal sense is the best and most accurate sense.
Polls will give McCain the lead just to snatch it away in hopes of demoralizing you.
Experienced pundits including Bill clinton know Palin is a serious adjustment to this election that will be difficult to overcome.
She is destroying the left like Kryptonite.
Excellent guess. I’m less than an hour’s drive from both.
Oh we know Northern CA is conservative, no worries there. Comparing it to SF area, is like comparing MA to SC! Bout the same distance.
Yes, it is almost funny. Sarah is the first “politician” ... if I may use that term without seeming pejorative, since Reagan, who strikes me as sincere.
Give them time. I’m sure they’ll find a way.
“But Republicans aren’t giving up on California. California Republican Party chief operating officer Bill Christiansen said some private polls put the two candidates within five points of each other”
I don’t buy it for 5 minutes. I feel as if I am the only McCain-Palin supporter in the state. Everyone I know is voting for Hussien. At least that’s what they say.
“Is President Reagan (RIP) the last GOP Presidential candidate to carry California?”
No, George H.W. Bush carried it in 1988 51% - 47%. Then it has been blue ever since.
Such a shame because the redwood coast is one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth. I get up there about every two years, three at the most. But I have to admit, it is probably the only place you can still see real hippies from the “60’s. A few years ago, I noticed many of the hitch hikers were well over 50 years old, and I mentioned to my wife, how many bad decisions do you have to make in life to be hitch hiking at 50 years old?
One third of Democrats wont vote for a black man.
Lots of Yellow-Dog dims, damn few Black-Dog dims.
Am thinking “Bradley” is in play, but add on the chance of a muslim named and muslim admitted dude ain’t going over this close after 9/11.
60,000 @ Sarahcuda/John rally in FLA!!! Dim’s internals must be grim, you can see the resignation in nobama’s eyes, the petty attaches are sounding like despiration and I’m REALLY trying to look at this realistically.
Plenty of Obama bumper stickers in Malibu. Plus a few McCain-Palin!
I would expect that near the liberal coast.
I’ve noticed that. The Muslim is really off his game. I think he somehow felt he was entitled. B. Hussein is just unacceptable to main stream America.
I live just 17 miles from San Francisco, 12 miles from the coast, smack dab in Democrat/Socialist heaven. Something funny *IS* going on around here. Tom Siebel's little $1000/plate dinner for the RNC with Palin was so oversubscribed ( RSVP by over 1000 ). When they rescheduled because Palin was going to the Iran protest, I hear the new plan is to have the speech at the Santa Clara Convention Center so more folks may attend. I'm going and I'm dragging the kids with me (they're getting a little too old to call them kids any more...)
My wife says today Portola Valley and Woodside have more McCain+Palin signs up than the O+B signs. This is next door to Palo Alto and home to the likes of Joan Baez and Neil Young as well as Larry Ellison (thought admittedly there's a huge underground R stronghold up in this hills, Tom Siebel wasn't alone in wanting to stay under the radar...).
At lunch today in San Mateo I got tired of listening to a well-known local "community organizer" cackle about how Palin's email was hacked and how she deserved all the bad things people said, and how anyone who is against Obama deserves to have their life put under a microscope and then a spew of filth about the guilty ways of the Palin family. My son spoke up (loudly and quickly, because he saw the look in my eye and wanted to keep me in my seat) and asked how I could stand to live in Northern California when there were so many ignorant people here who prefer to parrot what they hear others say (I think he used "groupthink") in preference to thinking for themselves. I happily and loudly said I came to live here because I like being a rebel and that dissent was important to the functioning of healthy society. I said here was where someone like me was needed to spread the word about freedom. Here was where people were suffering because the entitled class hoped to maintain power and prevent anyone from expressing a contrary opinion for fear of retribution. Here was where the empire of political correctness ran about naked all day and could be made fun of with the greatest of ease. Here was where people could begin to see what truly happens when the entitlers and the race baiters and the leeches upon society have their way.
The in-crowd quickly left and the waitress came to me and said "Hallelujah, they finally left so I can put someone else at that table."
Then she told me the woman and her crowd come there every Sunday, always complain about something, and have never, never, never left a tip.
I left a large tip...
A very interesting story, thanks for sharing.
70k
even at the media reduced 60k it is still more than barakopolis.
I think we are beyond the bradly effect. I think we should be more concerned about the fact that obama is raising a fortune but not buying add time. He is spending money on registering voters. What kind of voters?
