Why do you have a problem with us spending $700 Billion to bail out OUR ECONOMY when it was your plan to send $845 Billion of OUR MONEY to the UN for the Global Poverty Act (global welfare program) that you sponsored in the senate?

I don’t necessarily agree with bailing out Wall Street. I am for that about as much as I would be us bailing out someone that lost at a casino.

There’s several points I am trying to make:

(1) There needs to be far more attention given to the Global Poverty Act that Obama sponsored in the senate.

(2) I am not in favor of spending this money to bail out those at the Wall Street Casino but I’d much rather spend it here than give it to the UN so that they could distribute it to nations that want to blow us up.

(3) We already give more foreign aid than any country in the world. Why commit to another $845 Billion? Our federal budget for 2008 was $2.9 Trillion and Obama wants us to commit to giving almost 1/3 that much to the UN for a welfare program?

(4) We had welfare reform in this country. Why does Obama think it will work if we put the world on welfare?

(5) I don’t like welfare but if we’re going to do it, let’s at least keep it here so that we’ll get something in return for it — like the recipents spending it here.

Most of all, attention needs to be given to the Global Poverty Act that will soon pass if Obama gets elected.
