America has been greatly blessed by God and has stood as the greatest country in the history of the world for over 200 years. America has many foreign and domestic enemies that are seeking her destruction.

This thread is a daily call and reminder for people of faith who believe in God and in the power of prayer to make a commitment to intercede for America at this critical time in her history

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Samuel 24:25

David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

if we stay faithful in prayer and intercede for america as king david interceded for israel, we will see God's answer.

Lord, we ask You to bless sen. mccain and gov. palin. please give them strength and wisdom for the coming election and give them great favor with the people. please watch over and protect them and their families. may they hear Your voice and desire to do Your will. may they be bold and courageous and make decisions to do what is right in Your sight and speak out and stand against the evil in our country that is trying to destroy america... we thank You as we ask in Jesus’ Holy Name....amen

Lifting John McCain and Sarah Palin up in prayer, that they may be protected from those who mean them harm physically or mentally, that the Lord will surround them with His Love and Guidance, protect their families, and God Bless our Troops, and God Bless America. Amen.

Lord God, King of Kings, at whose feet we shall all cast our crowns, we humbly ask You that You stretch Your loving arm out and guide and protect our nation, whose foundation was in Your call for liberty. We have sinned against You; we have not heeded Your commandments; we have tried to shut out Your words though the rocks and stones cry out to them. For this, we repent and we humbly ask Your mercy on the United States of America.

We pray for the election coming, that Your Will be done, and that the candidates who are elected will conform to that will wholeheartedly. Also, Lord, we pray for Senator Barack Obama and Senator Joseph Biden. Though we do not want them to be elected, we know that You have no desire for them to be apart from You, and we ask that they be protected and brought to fellowship with You and Your Son Jesus Christ.

We pray tonight for the men and women of our Armed Forces, especially those in the face of the enemy or the elements. We pray for the Air Force on their anniversary.

Oh Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! Save our nation, and bring us from insanity to sanity in You. In the name of Christ Jesus we pray. Amen.
