Sorry - I meant why hasn’t UT expelled him. I don’t get that...their IT dept. must know it was him if he used the university network. The kid would have signed an agreement not to do illegal things using their network, etc. I hope this kid is expelled, charge, convicted, and jailed.
You know what’s really sad? After he gets out, he’ll probably run for office and win his dads seat.

You DO have to pay attention though; some unsecured gateways are honey pots... put in place for the sole purpose of capturing data so you have to know what you are looking at. Honey pots have a relatively easy to identify signature though.
