The city is mostly haves- and have-nots.

Let me guess, the city elections are almost inflexibly Democrat dominated.

I honestly don’t know at this point.

I haven’t lived in Charlotte since the summer of 1990. We do have an ex-Charlotte Mayor for our Republican candidate for Governor (McCrory) who seems to be a bit of “conservative-lite”.

I’ve lived in Raleigh since I graduated from NC State. It’s just like Charlotte was 20-30 years ago. Although the recent influx of northerners, has altered things a bit. It’s not all been a bad influence, just mostly, and mostly confined to Cary. I was happy to sell my house in Cary and move to the County.
