Don’t be shocked if you see the McCain campaign pull the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright out of mothballs in new attacks against one-time parishioner, Barack Obama.
McCain advisers say that they see “attack by association” as fair game now, arguing that Obama’s campaign has been using that technique to go after McCain. In particular, the Obama campaign has hammered McCain on the stump and in TV ads on the number of one-time lobbyists working for his campaign. (The McCain campaign is also angry about a Spanish-language TV ad that ties McCain to Rush Limbaugh on immigration, without ever saying that McCain took on Limbaugh and others to fight for comprehensive immigration reform.)
“They played it one way, we played it another way,” said one of McCain’s top advisers, Mark Salter. “Now we’re both going to play it the same way.”

It is sickening. McCain should pound, POUND, the airwaves with this and the Wright clips. The voice over would say something like: “Here is Obama less than 2 years before the election.”
I pray that McCain has the stones to go full bore on this.
McCain could do it with Ayres/Dohrn too. Can you imagine the reaction if the public actually knew that Obama launched his very career in the home of a bomb thrower and a Manson sympathizer. Launched his very career as a welcomed guest in the home of Ayres and Dohrn. OMG. It would sink Obama if even 2 in 10 potential voters knew the calibre people Obama calls friends.
It is incomprehensible to me that Obama is still in the race.

They need to play the clip where Wright is screaming “God **** America!” That will go over well. Honestly, most people including myself weren’t paying much attention when that story broke. A lot of people don’t know about it.
There is so much “toxic association” to Obama...where in the world will they begin? I say dump it all at once on the last minute lookers. Pick a key time and then put it all out there like an H bomb...that would be really fun to watch. Shock and awe.
I like the way you think. The McCain camp has shown signs of getting it -- ie playing hardball -- I hope they really ramp it up in the closing days.
While I know that the conatation of "one time parishioner" is... "former"... it is potrayed here as if Obama was some Johnny-Come-Lately new blood to "Rev" Wright's "church" whom had a immediate change of heart when he heard the crux of Wright's belief system. Bollocks! Twenty years is slow-mo reality.
