On a per capita basis, but in absolute numbers Chicago has been going thru 400-650+ murders per year (Gary with less than 50 per year). Robberies per capita in Chicago is almost double that of Gary, Indina.
Recently, there have been so many murders in Chicago, people are asking if Θbama will support a surge as in Iraq.
The stats don`t tell the whole story,the city itself is a fairly large “small city”,but given the fact that its remarkably abandoned and boarded up,I`m amazed the numbers aren`t worse.Search the records of the maneuvers of the operating engineers unit of the Indiana National Guard stationed in Gary and you`ll find an interesting little deployment they did a few years back in regards to the drug/gang problem they have.
