A new AP-Yahoo News poll finds that white Democrats resistance to voting for a black man for President could cost Democratic Presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama the White House: Deep-seated racial misgivings could cost Barack Obama the White House if the election is close, according to an AP-Yahoo News poll that found one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks many calling them lazy, violent or responsible for their own troubles. The poll, conducted with Stanford University, suggests that the percentage of voters who may turn away from Obama because of his race could easily be larger than the final difference between the candidates in 2004 about two and one-half percentage points.

Obviously Whites will be called racist if they refuse to elect a far-left marxist to the White house.
Race has nothing to do with it.
DITTO...BRAVO!
I don’t care why he loses...as long as he loses. I don’t care what they call me....as long as he loses. I am not voting against him because he’s black...white....half....I am voting against him because he is red...and since red is a color...then I must be a racist....don’t care...just as long as that communist loses!
LOL, I’ve been saying this for a while. 17-19% of democrats defecting in every poll. If 17-19% of Republicans were defecting this would be front page news and leading every nightly news report EVERY DAY.
Of course it’s racism, the media thinks racism is the only reason Obama doesn’t have 95% of the vote like they do in their newsrooms.
Black demo-ratic racism is keeping John McCain from winning this election by a landslide.
JoMa
Exactly right.
And how many whites are voting for The Empty Suit because he is black and they have been brainwashed to have "White Guilt"?
Or to prove to themselves and their neighbors that they are open minded enough to vote for a black even though he isn't qualified for the job?
Obama's quest for the White House has become the ultimate play for Affirmative Action.
The assumption behind all of this race baiting is that it is a black's turn to be president.
So of course, we are all racists if we stand in his way, no matter what our objections to his qualifications or conduct.
I see there are even people on this thread that have bought into that idea.
It boggles the mind - it seems the more "educated" the electorate becomes, the less able they are to make objective judgements.
She may be what you say. She is also nuttier than a Mr. Peanut candy bar.
Forgot Ken.
The poll is WRONGLY WORDED. It is not color, it is aptitude. Shove the racist stuff.
Funny concept. Ha.
I wonder how hispanics will react to black threats of riots. That's the whole point of the Dos Caras ad from 0bama: To incite racial animosity among hispanics towards Republicans. Its 0bama saying were in this together against THEM.
Amen, you are preaching to the choir.!
I don’t believe this for a second! This has NOTHING to do with race and is just a “ set up” for violence later, if in fact Barak loses the White House!!!
Nonesense..... it is HIS attitude , arragance and lack of interity, added to his general platform that I would STAND AGAINST... not his color!!!
Polly... who is caucasian and has a adopted black daughter!!!!!!
There is a strong anti-black bias South-of-the-Border and in our part of California. But the pollsters seem to say that hispanics are going to vote for Obama. I’m skeptical. Perhaps hispanics think that Obama is “post racial”. A threat of riot might dispel that illusion.
Obama is proud that he got 3/4 of the hispanic vote when he ran for Senator from Illinois, but we note that then he was running against the darker skinned Alan Keyes.
0bama can get hispanic votes if he makes it “us against them.”
Which is why he’s running these Spanish language race agitation ads.
