You know, something about this symbol of Obama's really puzzles me. Not that we don't all think it is simply audacious of him...but I think there is another meaning to this design related to his (what he says is not) Muslim faith. I just suspect this is not his interpretation of some sort of patriotic allegiance to our country. I think there is an underlying meaning for the design...something not obviously noticeable.
In the Sudan, the flag of Islam has a white stripe to represent Islam. Obama's flag seems to me to be a representation of a sun setting ( Obama) the white circle part over the desert (the red part) with white stripes (Islam) going across the desert. Blue sky of course. Maybe that's not exactly it, but I just think this design is based on his real faith...the one he does not admit to.
