What Governor Palin has done is created a HUGE appeal to what the late President Nixon called the silent majority, ones who have REAL concerns and not the concerns of someone living on Manhattan, insider the Beltway in Washington, DC or west of La Cienaga Boulevard in Los Angeles County (e.g., all the elitist snobs).

And go right ahead: Dismiss all of us who remember how, on the first day of deer season, our high school classrooms were half empty (not a problem at Andover or Exeter). Yep.
I left California for Idaho in 1979. When I reported for work my first day in Idaho Falls, ID, the office was deserted except for a few secretaries. When I asked one of the secretaries, "where is everybody", she said "It's opening day of deer season".

Many people who live in big east or west coast cities i.e. libs have a dim idea of what goes on in the rest of the country. I’m reminded of a statement Kareem Abdul-Jabbar made when he found out he’d been drafted as the number one pick in 1969 by the Milwaukee Bucks. Farmers! He’d been drafted by farmers. Yes, that’s right, Milwaukee a city of more than half a million people was populated solely by farmers. I knew then that if a reasonably intelligent person like A-Jabbar could have a misconception like that, there must be millions more who thought the same.

All us hayseeds HAVE been to the city, y'know...

That second photo may be one of the main reasons that Governor Palin is hated with such venom.
9 out of 10 babies discovered to have downs syndrome are aborted. Planned Parenthood and “Tiller the Killer” probably see photos such as this as a threat to their revenue stream.

He said the only difference between the Ivys and a decent state school was the degree of difficulty getting in. Something I've long suspected. Also, it's funny that colleges judge themselves by the quality of their incoming product, i.e., freshman SAT scores, not their outgoing product.
