There are over 200 black newspapers in this country, hundreds more black-owned or black-operated radio stations, black TV and black Internet blogs. Additionally, there are black radio and TV programs on white radio and TV stations, all of which promote their very existence as being to provide news, lifestyle and entertainment about the black community to the black community.
We all love black media for giving us what the white media could never give us information from a black point of view, which is sometimes 180 degrees from a white point of view.
Yet there is a segment of the black community that gets totally ignored when the subject turns to politics. Since 90 percent of the black community has voted Democratic for the past 30 years or so, black media has concentrated almost solely on the Democratic Party.
And now, since the Democratic Partys presidential nominee is a black man, not only does the black media totally concentrate their time and space on that candidate, but also viciously demean those black folk who are not in lock-step.
All one has to do is listen to nationally-syndicated black radio and TV hosts to hear the vitriol launched at the Republican presidential and vice-presidential candidates, not to mention the hate-filled comments hurled toward black Republicans during this campaign season.
If black Republicans want to get any positive news about Sen. John McCain or Gov. Sarah Palin, they have to look at FOX News, listen to WIOD or read articles on websites like Townhall.com or RealClearPolitics.com.

No.
***THE POLITICS OF BLACKNESS: Are black media fair to black Republicans?***
No.
The media in general, not just black oriented media, are unfair to black Republicans.
In their world view, you have to be liberal. A conservative black to them is analogous to how the liberal leftist feminists are reacting to Sarah Palin.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
They label them uncle toms
no
Isn’t Barbara Howard Black?
So why is she asking us? She should be having this conversation with herself.
I would like to see a list of examples. Cant wait to see what is called the "White point of view".
***THE POLITICS OF BLACKNESS: Are black media fair to black Republicans?***
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. “ - Martin Luther King
It seems that most ‘black’ media are hypocrites and are perpetuating racism.
The ‘black community’ just like the ‘muslim community’ is weak-minded. They can take no difference, no ‘diversity’, no disagreement. The people are sheep who don’t think for themselves but just yell “Amen” or “Thassright” to whatever their “leaders” say. They need to get out and talk to the rest of humanity without yelling and screaming when someone disagrees with them. Forget the ‘leaders’ and think for yourselves.
So why is she asking us? She should be having this conversation with herself.

One huge contradictory statement that Ms. Howard makes is about how on one hand black media gives the black community a look that the white media doesn't give. In that statement I assume she means that the view given by the "white" media is a pack of lies. Then she complains about the single-minded attention paid to the Democrat Party by black media types which leaves the impression that she believes she's getting a distorted message from black media. My money is on she's getting a distorted message from black media.
