Looks like the McCain campaign feels they have a serious shot at PA. If McCain wins PA, the election will be effectively over early that Tuesday night.

With McCain in PA and Obummer recently in NM, it looks like Obummer is the one losing blue states. I was really surprised to see Obummer in NM....

Then Obomba New Mexico numbers aren’t as good as advertised.

Looks as if Senator McCain is arriving from Scranton, and Governor Palin will be coming from the airport, to meet in our patch of perfidy.       :^)

We're in Montgomery County, PA. Obama has his local HQ around the corner from us, and Mrs. Biden was just here this morning. McCain will be in Media on Monday - lots of activity indeed. I was concerned in reading the editorial in our local weekly paper (Ambler Gazette). They noted that they try hard to be even-handed in their coverage, but that they are finding the Obama campaign very media savvy, and the McCain campaign not very helpful to them, affecting the balance of reporting. They have found the McCain campaign does not always inform them of events, and does not always permit them to be present when they request it. The Obama camp involves the press, resulting in more coverage of the Obama events.

In my experience, the local paper leans leftward, but not as much as most. I see it mostly in their choices of letters to the editor. I don't really believe that what they print is representative, although they claim it. Nonetheless, if the McCain campaign is blocking local press access, it could be hurting the cause. Our local GOP has not been the best run organization, in my opinion. It's been a real "good-old boy" network which got lazy during the days when Republicans had a solid majority in these suburbs. Now that they don't, they don't seem to know what to do, and just lack vigor. I've been shut down several times when I tried to get involved.

I'll contact the McCain campaign about this, although I doubt I'll be the first or only one. It's frustrating to see this poor organization. There are a lot of people around here who live like Republicans and vote like Democrats without seeming to see it. Mostly they are well-intentioned, kind, ill-informed people who spew Dem talking points with little depth to them.

I had a phone message that tickets are available at the Blue Bell campaign office. I can’t go Monday - too much “Mom taxi” duty in the afternoon. I’ll be there in spirit though.
