Online banks have the option of scheduling payments BEFORE THEY ARE DUE so you don’t have to pay them the day they *are* due—again, personal responsibility goes out the window because it’s all someone/something else’s fault that their bills aren’t paid on time!

Nanny state, nanny state, nanny state. *sigh*

They even have repeat payments if you make the same payment every month so all you have to do is make sure that the money is in the account.

My power was out for only about 23 hours, but my cable has been out for 5 days so far. Not a surprise since Time Warner has never been able to find its butt with both hands, a map, and a team of bloodhounds. Right now I'm trying to decide what would be the best location to mount a satellite antenna and whether to switch to Dish or Direct TV.

I pay all my bills online. The day the bill arrives, I go into my account and schedule the payment for the day it’s due. That way, I never miss a payment, they’re always on time, and I don’t have to worry about it getting lost in the mail, or the billing company saying they didn’t receive a check. I love online paying. (p.s. we have a generator and stored gas to operate our computer/frig/freezer, should we have a power outage, but if the internet provider/cable was out I’d be glad I had already scheduled the payment.)
