Also if you look at the AIG deal it is very attractive to the U.S. The assets, the insurance companies, are pretty easy to valuate. The debt and SIVs are not but the government got the assets and can liquidate the SIVs. It is not a bad deal and I’m sure the AIG share holders would like to have it. Problem for them is they is the are subs to the convertible preferred - good.
In case you wonder, I never felt sorry for Enron share holders either. If you own equities you have to be ready for the ups AND downs. If the holders of enron had a clue they could have laid on protection but even the small holders were greedy.

Yep, that was all over Fox this morning! The latest is fake messiah is ahead by 5 points in NY. ONLY 5, here in my blue blue liberal state and he only has a 5 point lead. Doesn’t look good for the fake one.
Three of my family members from NY, whom I thought would NEVER vote anything but Democrat, said that they were going to vote for McCain.
