What is it with that two fingers sideways stuff, that woman in Florida whose little girl is missing did the same thing in her “partying” pictures. I’ve seen it other places too. Some say it a gang sign, but I’m starting to think it’s a devil sign or a communist sign. Anyone know?

> I just realized you’re from New Zealand, and not an American. So I shouldn’t be so harsh with you.

(grin!) Born and raised in Vancouver Canada, citizen of New Zealand, Canada and the UK. Spent heaps of time in the US, and I would emigrate and become an American if it didn’t mean relinquishing my other Citizenships...

...for my mother countries have prior claim on my loyalty, and I understand that America is a jealous suitor who will tolerate no rivals.

I appreciate you not going to harshly with me, but I got big shoulders and this looks to be a fascinating subject for debate.

It’s 03h40 in the morning here in New Zealand — you’re right, I haven’t had any coffee yet, so I will remedy that right now and be back shortly...

Hit me with your best shot, mate!

> Surely you haven’t had your coffee yet.

Got me hot cuppa tea now (I don’t drink much coffee anymore — it’s either tea, water, or beer these days. Usually tea).

I’ll start by agreeing that the specimen under consideration is an odious villain who does not really deserve to live in a wonderful country like America. I will also agree that she skates awfully close to the edge of the ice.

> So you’re arguing no limits to such freedoms?

There certainly are limits to your constitutional freedoms, and there should be. While she skates awfully close to the edge of the ice — as does Cindy Sheehan — it would seem that she hasn’t yet gone too far. She has come mighty close, tho’.

> there are Constitutional mandates warranting the death penalty for treason in time of war—and every war that we’ve actually won, we’ve actually hung and/or shot those among us that gave aid and comfort to/adhered to the enemy, undermined the effort of our troops & our Commander-in-Chief, officers, etc.

I support that. And I wonder by what mechanism America can/will retrospectively see to it that she and others will be charged and put on trial. Surely they would have a reasonable defense that one of the two major parties seemed to support and endorse their viewpoint?

The time to be signaling the intention to put traitors on trial is surely long past: the cat is truly out of the bag. There isn’t even censorship on the media, neither do “Hollywood Celebs” seem to believe it important to back their own country during a time of war.

So all that really is left is for the Good Guys to have claim to the moral high ground. That can’t be taken away from them.

> Don’t you realize in what kind of things this woman has actually engaged?

I have only a hi-level view. Surely there are sufficient laws in place that if she has committed treason it should be a simple matter to send the FBI ‘round to pick her up?

I suspect that she probably has not skated quite close enough to the edge yet...

I truly appreciate the dialogue, and the illuminating earnestness with which you make your points.

But I finished my overnight shift hours ago, and now it’s half past noon—if I am to function at all at work tonight(a very unusually demanding shift for more than one reason) I must hit the bed in the next few minutes and try to sleep.

Internet debates often get my already caffeine-laden blood blasting through my arteries, but I must back away from the keyboard for now...if you wish I promise to pick this up later, my FRiend.

Meanwhile, I’ll consider and contemplate what you said.

Zzzzzzzzz......

These people are either trying to relive or recreate the late sixties and seventies anti-war and racial integration civil disobediance movement. Boorish behavior, or worse, was much in vogue back then. These are people who are marginalized because of their extreme views. Their only weapon is disruption and violence. Does that sound familiar? Think muslin fundamentalist terrorist.

It is interesting that the protest crowd has not been able to generate the buzz it did way back then. Anit-war protests and the like are just not attracting people in any great numbers. Also, have you noticed there are not many young people getting on the band wagon. Mostly, its older people like that despicable Sheehan woman. I just heard on Rush a little while ago that “Blacks against Barak” showed up at one of his stump stops today. Apparently they were loud and took some time to clear them out.

In any case, protesters are really nothing more than frustrated and powerless people who are desperate for their 15 minutes of fame.

The Empty Suit lies down with very dirty dogs.

That's a very telling indictment of the Empty Suit's campaign and following -- and an insult to dogs everywhere.

I wonder if she is Obama’s mistress, things just haven’t been too good between Michelle and Barack lately. Last time I saw that kind of affection, was when Monica looked at Bill Clinton.

Or Denise Rich.
