Just a thought, but... We all applaud McCain for pushing his "Maverick" style in order to distance himself from the current Administration. And, we agree it should be done. However, there are thousands of government employees, notwithstanding Cox, who are probably shaking in their boots right now wondering if they will have jobs if McCain is elected. I know many govt. positions are affected when the party in charge changes, but how many of the people on our govt. payroll just might not cast their vote for a guy who they know is going to end their career and is being so vocal about it?
Yes, the govt. employee payroll is too big, and there are way too many doing way too little. But, I think McCain might be hurting himself a bit. The tough-guy talk about getting rid of people is, perhaps, a bit premature. Maybe better done after the election when McCain is in office? Just MHO
BS. Most Americans are tired of the old boy political nitwits and their underlings in Washington. If anything it should help gain votes and those employees and politicians should be shaking in their shoes. Maybe it's time it is happening.
