Hackers Break Into Palins E-Mail Account & Post Messages, Pictures Online
WASHINGTON (AP) - Hackers broke into the Yahoo! e-mail account that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin used for official business as Alaska's governor, revealing as evidence a few inconsequential personal messages she has received since John McCain selected her as his running mate.
Just this evening, in my Mass Media Law class I learned of a case called US V. Progressive (1979) which my professor called "a favorite tactic of the media."
They can get away with publishing this material as long as someone else does it first. The trick is to get someone else to do it.
This may go a little deeper than a geek in someone's basement.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
.
The details of this hack can be found on Michelle Malkin's blog. It's pretty much all there, except for the hacker's name. But that's likely to be available real soon, given he didn't cover his tracks all that well.
Great question. I don't understand that either.
The media fits into it because once the information has already been leaked/published by another source, they (the press) can publish it without any reprocussions.
Pull any and all government credentials. GW better step in here!
Like I have been telling anyone who will listen to me the radical liberals will do whatever is necessary to win this election even murder if it gets them power.
I don't trust Obama or his cronies no further than I would a Black Mamba under my bed sheets cause someones gonna get bitten and it ain't the Mamba.
I have a feeling that who ever hacked her account is sweating about now.
I have read somewhere else that the perp may be the son of a Tennesee state senator (a D, of course). May the Secret Service send him to one of those secret CIA prisons in the jungles of Tanzania or wherever.
“But that’s likely to be available real soon, given he didn’t cover his tracks all that well.”
I’ll bet that that guy has been under a mountain of stress as he watches this unfold.
And be sure the little snot has some black mambas to keep him company. ;)
Why, then, would the USSS be contacting the AP? Unless, perhaps, the hacker communicated with AP, and investigators hoped to track him down by tracing the source of the contact?
Chances are, all AP had was that zip file that wikileaks.org posted, which contained the screen shots and downloaded text files.
Thanks for the post I enjoyed that.
Sweating? Why? You are right, they will do anything.
I’m beginning to think that Obama’s close supporters are worse than Clinton’s, they are obviously behind this crime. Obama is a ruthless, dangerous man.
I read somewhere else that the perp may be the son of a Democratic state senator from Tennessee. I wish I could remember where. If it’s him, he is in big trouble.
AP = SCUM, PURE SCUM
And I hope they make a good example out of him. Hacking, computer crime, ID theft, credit card fraud, all caused by people farting around on the internet, cost all of us our peace of mind and personal security. They should be dealt with severely.
We don’t know the answer to that, and probably never will.
