I'm not familiar with that. When I think of Teddy, I think of his "progressive" period when he and Hiram Johnson were the mavericks of the day. And then there was his alliance with progressives (aka socialists) Amos and Gifford Pinchot, sweeping up millions of acres of private property in the name of Conservation.

You mean you never heard about his "safaris" to Africa to hunt big game??? And don't you think the Panama Canal screwed up several thousands of species and their habitat???(just to mention one "abuse")

Yet I keep hearing (and I'm shocked you don't hear it) that he was this big naturalist/conservationist/preservationist "savior" who started national parks and was second only to John Muir in those regards!!! Totally bogus!!!
