“The culture of death marches forward”
A very sad truth Reagan Man.
Mr. Provenzo would have fit in just fine in Hitler’s Germany; or, perhaps Mussolini’s Italy.
I have known a few like that too.
Libertarian, no morals, no thanks.
That is what scares me! Someday soon they will be able to test for those who might have diabetes or cancer someday in the futue. Are we going to allow those people to be aborted because of that *someday* thing? I’ve hd a pretty good life inspite of having type 1 diabetes for nearly the past 40 years but someday in the future there might be another just like me who will never ever get to find out. That scares me terribly!
“Wait a minute, have I been bamboozled by the Libertarian party? I thought it was about personal choice.”
Anyone can call themselves a libertarian. In much the same way that anyone can call themselves Catholic. Doesn’t mean that they represent the party, the philosophy, or anything else.
One of the most compelling philosophical arguments for life is espoused by libertarians. In my own case, it wasn’t the religious argument that swung me. I was pro-creation before I became a Christian. Check out “libertarians for life” for example.
“Liberaltarians often side with the culture of death and use money as the reason to kill.”
You’re painting with a very broad brush. I guess that since Namcy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, and Joe Biden are prominent Catholics and are pro-abortion, we can therefore conclude that all Catholics favor abortion?
“You can add the feminists to that group of mentally challenged subhumans.”
Not Feminists like Sarah Palin.
Sadly, not enough people know about the distinction between the different branches of government.
Pro-death Catholics are a very small minority, this IS NOT the case with libertarians.
Another difference is that Catholicism is a religion, NOT a political ideology.
anyone who uses Rand to make a living or justify their purpose is bankrupt. Her Rand Institute followers are bores.
This Nicholas Provenzo sounds like the sort of puke who probably shouldn't be allowed around normal people.
“a group ‘dedicated to advancing individual rights...’”
For SOME people while demanding that the most basic right to life be denied others.
Also they believe that Sarah Palin should be denied HER “right to choose” NOT to have an abortion.
Provenzo is way out of line on this one. Shame on him. That said, he’s spot on with regards to the unhealthy religious nuttery sentimentality. “Ambassadors of God?” Talk about hyperbole. They’re disabled kids, not serephims.
Bill Maher is a libertarian for Obama.
I can call myself a Libertarian and promote sex with ponies. That is one of the things wrong with the Libertarian Party. It is a free for all for weird-o’s.
Please FreepMail me if you want on or off my Pro-Life Ping List.
“In a rebuke that smacks of selfishness at its worse, Provenzo says, “for many” potential parents of disabled babies, “that opportunity for challenge is little more than a lifetime of endless burden.”
NO, most people do no view their children as “burdens.” “
First of all, you are correct that most parents do not see their children as burdens. But also, how can a “burden” be “selfishness at its worse”?
Ann Rand died with a dollar sign on her casket instead of the cross.
Money was her God.
