I firmly agree with that concept. However, what happened here is that the burglars disconnected the alarm system, picked the lock and then stole your stuff.

Not really. What happened here is that Governor Palin used an email service that has a long history of security problems. And using ANY third party email system leaves you open to having the people that run the place.

Not wise.

I'd say she underestimated the sleaze she would face, which is far different from being unwise. Gentlemen don't behave that way, and in Alaska she's used to dealing with gentlemen. Governor Palin will learn quickly, which is what distinguishes her from the Democrats who keep trying the same foolish ideas without blaming their failure on the ideas themselves.

My analogy stands. I have never in my life met a person who could do what these people claim to have done. I have also never in my life met a person who could effectively disable an alarm system and pick a lock.

This took special skills. It is also a break-in through locked doors. Your arguments are simply that she should have used a better lock and alarm company. The good news is that from what I am seeing, nothing of real value was “stolen”.

As with so many of the attacks against her, this really plays into her personna as “just like the rest of us”. We can relate to what happened to her.

I’m tired of you blaming the victim. How about blaming the freakin lawbreakers who BROKE THE LAW. Basically what you are saying is that any email account can be broken into, therefor she shouldn’t have used it.

WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE EMAIL, THEN? ANYBODIES EMAIL CAN BE BROKEN INTO!!!!

How about saving your scoldings and tsk-tsks for the LAW BREAKERS?

I hate hackers with a PASSION. The internet and email could revolutionize this country many magnituted more than it already has, but businesses and individuals avid making that leap because THEY CAN’T TAKE THE RISK WITH THE LAWBREAKERS OUT THERE WHO COULD SINK THEM.

Hackers should get the death penalty, and no, I am NOT kidding.
