Getting in Palin’s Hair, or Close to It
New York Times ^ | 9/16/2008 | Jim Dwyer

While any girl or boy can, technically, grow up to be president, only Tina Fey can become Sarah Palin, at least on “Saturday Night Live.”

And even for her, that means a hairdresser, a team of wig makers, colorists and a pound of human hair.

Today I was looking to see if the New York Times had anything to say about the New York Post's allegation that Obama was doing freelance diplomacy on Iraq troop withdrawal timing to buff his own political standing.

Of course, there was not a word.

On the other hand, they did devote half a page to this story about the Sarah Palin-style wig made for Tina Fey.

I wrote the author, Jim Dwyer, as follows:

"Very amusing.

When you guys at the Times are done talking about Sarah Palin's hair, and lipstick, and tanning bed, and teenage daughter, do you think perhaps you could spare a moment to look into Mr. Obama's freelance diplomacy with the Iraqi foreign minister?

For two days now, there has been a sourced story from the Post that Mr. Obama attempted to intimidate the Iraqi government into delaying the withdrawal of troops from Iraq so that he could take the credit after his inaguration (or should I say coronation?) To me, that sounds like gambling with the lives of American soldiers for political purposes.

You'd think the so-called paper of record might find that of more interest than the antics of a stale comedy show making fun of the first Republican female VP candidate's hairstyle.

Enjoy your layoffs. You've worked very hard for them."

I encourage all FReepers to follow the link and share your feelings on this topic with Mr. Dwyer and his editor.

The New York Times is now the record of garbage reporting.

Oh how the mighty have stooped.

WELL said, and thank you!

I should have added a comment about Osamabama violating the Logan Act...but, what the heck.

D'ya suppose the dildo Dwyer got your point, though? Or cares?

The Times has all the knowledge of the World yet seems to lack the knowledge of the American people.

Dang. The Times went soft. I was expecting “Tina Fey resembles former beauty queen Sarah Palin, the arch-conservative, book-banning religious fanatic running for Vice-President with John McCain, the 72 year old cancer survivor who barely met the woman and never gave her a proper vetting. Mrs. Palin’s 17 year old unwed teenage daughter is pregnant, reportedly for the first time.”
