I moved to California last year from another state, and thus, had to wait one full year to become an in-state student. I was actually at the residency desk (they combine it with “international students” desk) and had to wait over twenty minutes to get someone who barely spoke English to look over my documentation. Nice to know that someone who came here illegally takes precedence over someone who played by the rules.
What’s to stop anyone from walking up to the desk and saying “I’m an illegal alien- registrer me”
How can they prove you’re not? Illegals have no paperwork... so just dont give them any
