As I understand it, the legislature is pretty narrowly Dem. Maybe they can get a few non-partisan Dems (if such exist) to bring a halt to this sham investigation. Palin is great for Alaska, and even a Dem has to be able to see that.

i think this is good, someone finally grew some balls.
I was wondering why Alaska legislature hadn’t stepped into this. These “investigations” are at the expense of Alaska taxpayers which is probably of little or no concern to the partison hacks who hijacked the procedure..
No, Alaska Legislature is not Dem, it is Republican. How do I know? My rep, John Harris, an R, was speaker of the house this past session. And Lyda Green, an R, was Senate Majority leader. I don’t think Dems have been in power in the legislature for decades.
“I dont think Dems have been in power in the legislature for decades.”
So why is this crap still going on?

Because she stomped on a few Republicans when she did her housecleaning out there.
There is a great picture out there on the net that shows the leaders of the investigation behind an Obama podium and with Obama posters all over the back wall. It is a real picture - not photoshopped.
He adds, though, that he harbors no hard feelings.
“I respect her — I still do. She has a lot on her plate. She’s a hell of a lady. If she found someone better to do a better job that’s her authority to find them and I will gladly step aside,” he (Monegan)said.
Monegan was offered a different position within the administration, as executive director of the Alcohol Beverage and Control Board, but turned it down.
A freeper from Alaska said, in response to a question of mine several weeks ago, that one of the houses went Dem due to the same problems that caused the Congress to go Dem in 2006—corruption, spending, etc.
Here is what I don’t understand. Palin has a 80% approval rating in Alaska. Wouldn’t bringing her down on trumped up charges, especially if it was seen as politically motivated, be POLITICAL SUICIDE? Or are they too stupid to figure that far ahead.
The Democrats are establishing new depths of depravity in fighting Sarah.
It is a gift from Democrats that they won’t stop giving.

Palin is great for Alaska, and even a Dem has to be able to see that. This whole situation is very confusing. The Alaska legislature is heavily Republican. The comittee voted 12-0 to start this investigation. Yes that's right, the 8 Republicans on the committee voted with the 4 Democrats. There are some Republicans that are very angry with her.
Why do these Senators have to go to court to get this investigation stopped? The Republicans have the strong majorities in both chambers. Can't they just call a vote or something? And can the Courts really stop the Legislature from exercising oversight of the executive? I wouldn't think so.
If this goes away soon I would keep an eye open for nasty attacks from these good old boy Republicans. This isn't just a Democratic hatchet job. She has some serious enemies up there.
No, Alaska Legislature is not Dem, it is Republican. This Wikipedia article says there is some kind of conflict among the Alaskan Republicans in the Senate and they split up. Do you know what the conflict is that pushed some of them to join a governing coalition with the Democrats?
Lyda Green a Republican formed a coalition with the Dems.
The House and the Senate have a majority of Republicans.
Lyda Green wanted to be Senate President while she gave away the Senate.
You could say, she sold her soul. Bi-partisanship is for the birds.
Sarah dropped a nuke on those sour grape polidiots when she released the internal/external documents showing what an ass that dork had made of himself.
Glad to see these folks are taking action against those partisan hacks.
in the govt and “good ol boys” network, yes, but has serious friends among the people - the voters.
