This morning on Fox & Friends they ran a video joke from Jay Leno. Leno sets it up saying, John McCain is a real war hero. We’ve obtained an actual video clip of him being cruelly tortured by his captors... then it cuts to McCain’s appearance on The View!

They overdubbed the chatter so that it seemed like all the hags were talking at once. So true.

...on that subject, with all of the money that FannyMay/FreddieMac have passed around to congresscritters, has anybody noticed my very own Montana senator Max Baucus on any list? He used to be fond of bragging about Chairing the Senate Finance Committee along with having a ton of pull because he’s been there since the last Ice Age, and as soon as Fan & Fred started having problems, he’s plumb vanished.

NYT - New Agency Proposed to Oversee Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (from Sept 2003)

The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago. . . . ''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.''
