Has David Brooks come out against the idea of a VP Palin? It seems so. "Sarah Palin has many virtues. If you wanted someone to destroy a corrupt establishment, she’d be your woman. But the constructive act of governance is another matter. She has not been engaged in national issues, does not have a repertoire of historic patterns and, like President Bush, she seems to compensate for her lack of experience with brashness and excessive decisiveness.”
“The idea that ‘the people’ will take on and destroy ‘the establishment’ is a utopian fantasy that corrupted the left before it corrupted the right. Surely the response to the current crisis of authority is not to throw away standards of experience and prudence, but to select leaders who have those qualities but not the smug condescension that has so marked the reaction to the Palin nomination in the first place."

Oh, and David, in what universe is Palin less qualified to be VP than Obama is to be president? In what universe is a follower of Alinsky, Wright, and Ayers less of a rabble rouser than Palin?

Too funny, Brooks was taking too much heat at his country club over Sarah Palin being nominated, and the “historic repetoire” is a joke, Governor Palin was right, look were experience has gotten us...

The big questions I have to ask all of these nay sayers is “where was all you concern about supposed qualifications when Bill Clinton was running for President? He had none and we didn’t hear a peep out of these treasonous liberals.

I get it, either a conservative candidate is "excessive decisive.” or "indecisive" and barak is "just right".
