Reinvigorating the Obama Campaign

The ace in the Biden hole is family policy.

Sarah Palin put the Obama campaign on the rocks. If anything, vigorous personal attacks against the vice presidential nominee and her family have served to cement attitudes against the attackers. Obama's ads have gone from inspired early in the primary (like this 1984 ad) to cheesy. The Obamassiah has become just a young guy with tired old ideas, less experience, and a whole lot of desire to put even more big government even farther up in everybody's faces. The right has become invigorated, the left stagnant and disillusioned.

The Obama campaign needs a game-changer. At least they need to acknowledge the one they already chose and to quit being so wimpy about it. ... cont.

Perfect combination - a guy with lots of experience, who represents his party extremely well, but would have a very hard time outshining the presidential candidate. So the Obama campaign can put him front and center to do his thing, playing the experience card, representing his values - without fear of making Obama seem his lesser.

It’s factual. What seems satirical about it is just the straight stuff. It seems like parody, but it’s a straight play. (The author does however understand your point of view and did when writing the article - it’s hard to tell the difference.)

You know, it is getting harder and harder to distinguish Democrat talking points from parody.

Exactly why I thought it would be an interesting article.

The single positive aspect of this interminably long, 2 year campaign is that people have come to know Obama better.
And as he has become more familiar to voters he has lost support.

At the beginning he was able to play the role of the new face, the reformer, the man who represented change from the same old politics.
And with the media covering for him, and calling any criticism a racist attack, it has taken a long time for the truth to gradually seep through their defense.

But in spite of the media filter enough of the truth has become public knowledge and the people don't like what they see.

I believe the fall started in earnest when he made his World Coronation Tour and spoke to supporters in Germany (one of his 57 mystery states).

He started losing only when Sarah Palin came to the scene presenting traditional conservative values. McCain wasn’t there enough to get good traction. Getting back to its roots, a Democratic campaign could cause focus to shift to the fact that Republicans aren’t very far from the Democratic Party’s values - in fact.

They can't. And their candidate has to carry a teleprompter with him on the road since its obvious he can't get his thought in train without it! Their problem isn't the message. Its the candidate.

The latest poll puts Obama up by 5%, down from an 18% advantage a couple weeks ago.

We’ll have to wait and see if the trend continues. So far, Obama is doing everything wrong.

Rasmussen, which is pretty reliable, has had McCain ahead in the overall popular vote as well as the electoral college. Withn the past week, Rasmussen Markets - which takes a wider range of data into account to calculate a win probability (based on current data - not crystal ball about the future), has switched from Obama as projected winner to McCain for the first time. McCain’s ahead.

OK, now is this parody / sarcasm or not? The new aggressive Obama campaign involves using dumber attack ads. (Have you seen the one about McCain not using email?)

Senator Barack Obama will intensify his assault against Senator John McCain, with new television advertisements.

Um, I think if you read the article, you'll find the author was ribbing the Dems - to whit:

Joe Biden needs to assure their base that an Obama victory would take the country farther left...

Joe Biden has been relentless in his efforts to federalize family law and remove it from the influence of civil rights into democratically controlled social policy.

the program managed to infiltrate areas of law and personal life that the Constitution left to the states and to the people. It provided the pivotal event that transformed marriage and family law from civil law to social policy and by doing so set the stage for same-sex marriage and adoption rights.

Instead of standing up for themselves by putting their most distinctive foot in voters’ faces...

This is possibly the funniest thing I've read today - y'all need to lighten up a touch...

If this is satire, it’s way above my pay grade.

PING from the past.

I found my old ping list of people who wanted to be pinged for my MensNewsDaily.com articles, much of it fathers' rights kinds of stuff.

I'm thinking about an expansion to all Men's News Daily articles and wonder if anyone wants to run a real ping list for that.
