“I believe that the duel between Christianity and atheism is the most important in the world. I further believe that the struggle between individualism and collectivism is the same struggle reproduced on another level.” — William F. Buckley
That is incredibly profound. I’ve never heard that one before.

"I need to know if she really thinks dinosaurs were here 4000 years ago, that's an important...I want to know that. I really do. Because she's going to have the nuclear codes. I want to know if she thinks dinosaurs were here 4000 years ago." You know what, Matt? You know what's even scarier than the belief that there were dinosaurs 4000 years ago? The belief that Marxian socialism makes economic sense. Cause, y'know, Matt, like you I'm pretty sure that there haven't been any dinosaurs for 65 million years, but whether they did or not--and I have never seen any evidence that Governor Palin really believes in 4000-year-old dinosaurs--it doesn't affect my life. I know this is a big deal to you, Matt, but the fact is that your candidate wants to turn America into Zimbabwe. And that matters to me.

The FOOL hath said in his heart, there is no GOD
What else can you call them ?
HEATHENS !!!!!!
HEATHEN FEMINAZI LIBERALS !!
HEATHEN LIBERAL MAIN STREAM MEDIA !!
Psalm 2
1. Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3. Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

" Its pastors are almost always seminary trained, very bright, and deeply devoted to their mission. I get a charge out of the old medias conviction that Christians (especially Christian pastors) are stupid. Anyone who can read and understand Pauls epistles in depth is bright enough to graduate from Harvard, high in their class. Its just that they chose a different, and much more rewarding, path. "
Perhaps, during the RNC convention, whether knowingly, or un knowlingly, they might have put out a note of this to the MSM/LIBS ....
This pertains to Teddy Roosevelt ... they did honor him and mention him a lot.
Here is a very interesting quote by Theodore Roosevelt.
" A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a collage education "
I hope Sarah Palin would use this in her speeches ( here that McCain/Palin campaign ? ).

Rev. ( Chickens coming home to roost ) Wright and Obama’s church is a classic example of that, and they are proud of it.
To: Nevadan
0bama and the left, at my last count,
stood for the rejection of all 10 commandments.
All of the horizontal commandments:
Coveting, theft, murder, promiscuity/adultry, MURDER of the innocent, disrespect for ancestors.
And all the verticle commandments:
No other gods,
no idols,
no representing yourself as doing Gods work when you’re not,
respect the Sabbath.
How does the left try to reconcile their beliefs against the written word of God? Well, because the Word of God is not an absolute, it’s not authoritative, it’s up for interpretation, like the Constitution. The written word has no meaning until a reader interprets it, etc.

If the earth is not millions of years old,
then evolution is not the mechanism of creation,
and there is a Supernatural Creator who is all powerful.
That Creator is GOOD,
and more frightening, He is JUST,
and will JUDGE your choices and behaviors.
Scares the HELL out of ‘em. Better to stop this logical progression at the top.

Two worldviews, leading to obviously disparate ways of treating people and society:
Man is God’s creation, in His image, for His glory, as an eternal soul.
Man is an evolved ape, alive for 70 years, with no significance or existance before or after that life.

I’ve read quite a few insightful pieces about the Sarah Palin phenomenon. This is one of the cut-above-the-rest, “I wish I’d written that” articles.

You don't understand? ... Sure you do: it is 'Magic Thinking', operating on the--at the unconscious level--'just in case, I'll pretend He exists' approach to life.
Those practicing Magic Thinking exhibit 'pretend and thus control that god-thing', since the god of selfishness is never to be greater than self.
It really is true that 'fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom'. The ego in charge cannot be wise, but can believe itself wise by pretending to hold God at arm's length where they believe He can be used and ignored at the dead soul's convenience.
American liberals hate it when someone exposes their deadness to them, even if only exposed because a genuine person shines forth in their presence. Liberals/leftists believe themselves wise thus real wisdom is a mystery to them.
In Andrew Sullivan's mind, his sexual degeneracy is normative behavior because he wants it to be, so that he has nothing to account if there happens to be a god who defined his sexual proclivities as an abomination.
Abortion worshipping feminists believe their slaughtering the alive unborn is empowering for them individually because they believe they have succeeded in defying God by killing an innocent, alive, little huamn being just come into existence, thus the feminist ideal of goddesshood is realized with the defiance of God's gift of a child.
The more demonic side of that twisted satanic equation is that these magic thinkers woo others into a shared doom, and with this proselytizing the dead in spirit believe they've conquered 'mythology'. Job's friends tried the same thing. They advised Job to curse God and die ... because in their twisted magic thinking that would negate what they had been taught about God and thus free them to complete selfishness.
Oops! I better shut up. This is starting to sound like a sermon, and I'm certainly no Pastor and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Let's do a bit of selective editing: "If the earth is not or IS millions of years old, then evolution is not the mechanism of creation but the process may be the mechanism God used to create on an animal level, and there is a Supernatural Creator who is all powerful." The reason I added the italicized portions is 'Time as we count it is as a moment to The Lord.' The processes of species change should not be summarily discounted as 'not by God' since you don't know. Is that why some try to limit the processes to 'accidental changes'? ... But that's grist for another stone.

The primary problem with theistic evolution, as your post describes or alludes to, is that death, disease, mutation and predation must exist before sin enters the world.
But again, “grist for another stone”.

Thank you for your spirited defense of AOG. It was an AOG/COGIC family almost 40 years ago that helped turn me around from being a rebellious neo-pagan adolescent to being a believing Christian. Now as a Catholic, I love the AOG/COGIC church people with a sincere and grateful love.
