Stringing those words together was just plain stupid for McCain to do. I think we can agree on that.
So was saying the economy is fundamentally strong on today of all days.
So was allowing that woman to photograph him.
I think today’s outlook on the campaign is significantly darker than the past several.

I really don’t think so! Obama/Biden warned they were stepping up the attacks so this onslaught was expected. It seemed there was a lot more coverage of Obamas attacks...and it didn’t help Rove’s comments...BUT we are still up and Palin and Alaska’s First Dude are on the trail, McCain and Cindy out there....who do McCain and Biden have...nothing but ugliness and vile spewing...no one pays attention to that too much...They have nothing but negatives...and voters are tired of it. It is refreshing to see Palin and company back...oh and McCain and Cindy. We also are ONLY down 5 pts in NY. So, this should make everyones day!!!Obama has a LOT of states to spend and defend. We’re doing fine....

Well, I can't help you there, if you think that some obviously biassed pics and a quote taken out of context-one day's events-negates all the positives, the gains, the poll numbers, the higher crowd numbers at rallies, the higher favorables in almost every aspect, etc-if it only takes that for you to believe that the McCain/Palin ticket just committed suicide, then it almost seems as you're looking for a reason to believe that, and if that's so, it looks like you want it to be so. Do you have this same reaction when the Obama/Biden ticket makes its many, many gaffes on any given day? I'll stack our mis-steps against theirs anytime, and I don't believe it's rational to believe that one day's events are going to break a campaign, especially one doing so well overall with the American people (not the media, but the people can see through that, and considering the media's standing with most Americans, that's a plus). We are going to win this thing, and that's not just wishful thinking-there is a groundswell of new enthusiasm and support for McCain/Palin, and day-to-day tics won't affect that. I don't mean that we should get complacent-never!-but your pessimism based on so very little is very misplaced.
