Proposal to Team McCain: Three-day PALIN bomb drop on NJ, NY and Mass (Operation Dolittle)

A modest proposal for Team McCain:

Drop the Palin bomb in at least three hyperblue states (NJ, NY and Mass) over a three-day period.

Recent polls show Obama's lead in several hyperblue states narrowing toward single-digits. Of course, team McCain-Palin has little chance of winning any of these states, but "Operation Dolittle" would help serve several tactical (campaigning) and strategic (governing) objectives:

--Shock Team Obama, putting on hyper-defensive.
--Confuse the Dems
--Anger the libs
--Destabilize the opposition.
--Upset the media
--Reninvigorate blue-state conservatives
--Entice blue-state independents
--Raise the odds of a bigger popular vote count
--Set the groundwork for an electoral landslide and an unassailable national mandate to reform

(Shocked, confused, angry, destablized libs make more costly mistakes)

You could park Palin permanently in New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts for the duration of the campaign and the Democrats will still take all three seats. Use her where she might make a difference - Ohio, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Minnesota, places like that.

It's time for the Maverick and the Barracuda to take the three-point shot for a national landslide.

I'll point out that the very best 3 point shooters miss more than half their shots.

“First stop: NYC.”

No. They don’t have a prayer in NYC. Their best target would be upstate.

“Me too. I would definitely go. If she were to no north though, it would be NH.”

She absolutely should go to NH. Remember, that’s the state where every wanna-be presidential candidate starts their effort. They all wear flannel shirts and eat pancakes and try to make themselves look like regular people. Palin wouldn’t have to fake anything, I think she’d connect with them really well. Todd would be a hit also. If she can walk around and shake hands and eat at some diner with a few locals, it would...work.

Oh.. btw.
This was a mistake on their part. Dolittle used the fear of the unknown, meaning will they keep attacking or not. Palin's team just told everyone what they are doing.

I agree. But she would draw big crowds regardless of the weather. Which for the time being is fantastic.

Thanks for drawing this to my attention.

I think it would be a great idea.

It would really mess with Obama and the Media.

Psychological warfare is so much more important than people realize in these closing days.

You could step it up by hinting that internal polling suggests that there are some cracks in the Obama armor.

I like the way you think...

However, I’d rather see McCain-Palin host three rally’s. Two in Illinois: One outside of Chicago, near Arlington Heights, and one in Peoria.

And the third one in Dover, Delaware.

The rallys would be hugely symbolic. But that would have an impact on neighboring states like, WI, MO, VA and PA.

I like the way you think.

We will lose those states, but we stand to gain by being aggressive. The only way we win NY and MA is if Obama has a spectacular meltdown when he has to defend against the Wright/Rezko/Davis/Ayres connections. Possible, but not likely. I don’t think McCain can WIN in a total landslide, but Obama can LOSE in one.
