No signs of that so far. He'll be lucky if he can hold the blue states.
I can’t find an Ad from McCain that references the “lipstick on a pig” comment. They DID release “disrespectful” the day after, and when they released it, the campaign did mention his “lipstick on a pig” comment.
But the advertisement doesn’t talk about the “lipstick on a pig” comment. It is a TRUTHFUL ad.
Now, FactCheck insists that they didn’t “FEEL” Biden meant any harm when Biden said “She’s good-looking”. Because the Factcheck people must all be men. A woman who wants to be taken seriously will bristle if a man dismisses her as “good-looking”.
Factcheck also was upset that they had a picture of Obama on the screen when they put up the Biden quote. But they never said “Obama said it”.
The pig comment did not reference Palin. Obama may have wanted his audience to make the connection. But the Obama comment said Palin was the LIPSTICK — again acting like she was just a pretty face to hide the “pig” that was McCain’s campaign.
So Obama was dismissing her as just a pretty face. But a lot of people messed up trying to say he called her a pig. It ruined the message, and made the “Disrespectful” ad a target of the media.
If....
How, how is it not sexist to imply that Sarah Palin was brought on to be female cosmetics for "the policies of" John McCain?
I begin to think that, with McCain, the Republicans may have found themselves with a candidate who thinks of politics as "war by other means."
The Democrats have been operating that way for years without serious opposition; I think we're discovering that they're not sure how to deal opponents who not only think the same way, but are perhaps better prepared to deal with them more cleverly than they are capable of doing.
And, what's more, the McCain team has finally discovered and are using humor -- sure to bring pain to the ever-so-earnest ideologues who inhabit Democrat campaigns.
McCain wasn't my first choice; but he wasn't my last, either. And I am enjoying watching him operate.
I agree, and it’s certainly working for us.
Yes, that’s what I came away with, but then since we’re all choosing our words very carefully, what are we really saying?
Unfortunately, I wasn't born with the Bush's proverbial silver spoon...but I'd wager everything I have that I'd (and possibly 65 percent of the current members of this website) would be a better chief executive than the boob now holding office!
Abraham Lincoln was born poor....Ronald Reagan worked his way up from having virtually nothing. Don't be a boob like you claim Bush to be and run for office.
I so PRAY that you are correct.
