Get a rifle that shoots an easy to obtain caliber. Make sure when you buy it, its not one that requires paperwork. All guns purchased from a licensed dealer require paperwork, both the BATFE "yellow form", and an instant background check. The IBC can be avoided if you have a CHL/CHP from most states.

Some pre 1898 rifles like the Krag .3040 and Winchester 1895 are antiques and get by without paperwork when purchased. I highly recommend getting a couple of weapons that are not traceable from the BATF.
