Despite failures that would have felled most others, he never lost faith that if he refused to despair, he would eventually succeed. Roosevelt, by contrast, grew up with wealth, privilege, and love. His crucible came in a polio attack that left him a paraplegic at 39. While crippling his body, the paralysis expanded his sensibilities. He emerged from his ordeal with greater powers of concentration and greater self-knowledge. Far more intensely than before, he was able to put himself in the shoes of others to whom fate had dealt an unfair hand.

sorry I had to vote obama was more likely to learn from his mistakes, just because he has made so many of them the odds increase that he will learn from one of them
It does need freeping, but “Parade” has become a left-wing propaganda organ like USA Today, and is included with other items in left-wing newspapers.
Where is the poll originating from . . . downtown Manhattan? I can’t believe how lopsided this is considering the personal character of the democratic ticket.
To this point, he hasn't shown any talent at that.
