Post it in non-caps (unless an isolated word here or there is emphasized with all-caps) and paragraph breaks and maybe I’ll read it.
From the headline, though, I’d say you’re chasing a non-issue. The Ivys and similar private colleges put together financial aid packages partly based on need, and partly on how much they want the student. Interesting life-history (essentially the only thing Obama has going for him, and he had it when he applied to Columbia and Harvard), race, HS (or college) GPA, and being from an ‘underrepresented’ state all are bases for the university or college itself ‘paying’ most of the cost of attendance.
It cost me about as much to send my daughter to Mount Holyoke (where the ‘rack rate’ is comparable to the Ivys) as it would have to send her to the local state university, because a student from Kansas with a 3.98 HS GPA and about a year’s worth of college credit, including completely fulfilled language requirements, just out of HS was too good to pass up.
I’m afraid unless you already have hard evidence either of a private scholarship being created for the benefit of Barack Obama (I had a private scholarship from a benefactor, but that’s a long odd story) or of Obama being sent ‘rack rate’ tuition bills that somehow got paid, you’re likely chasing after a will-o-the-wisp if you think there’s something odd about Obama being able to afford the Ivys.
Um, Obama’s strange benefactor is documented pretty well:
