Yes, this is so much garbage.
Can we talk about race-based voting?
The 95+% of African-Americans who voted for Obama in the primaries, and who state their intention to vote for him in the general, are NOT engaged in race-based voting?
Of COURSE they are. Or, at least a huge percentage of them are. Even among democrats alone, a “normal” distribution of voting patterns in the primaries should have reflected a rational split between Obama and Clinton among all racial and ethnic groups. But this was not the case.
Can anyone seriously dispute that the 95+% of African-Americans voting for Obama in the primaries were not voting for the color of his skin? If anyone can, they are either liars or fools.
But this conclusion does not automatically ensure that the reverse of the equation also applies. It is being assumed that those who do NOT vote for Obama are doing so for race-based reasons. This is yet another instance of racist finger-pointing by the Left.
Simply put: There is an infinite number of reasons that someone might decide not to vote for Obama. (We don’t have enough time) But there are precious few reasons to vote for him.
The African-American voting statistics from the primaries speak for themselves.
This is the real racism in voting this year.
You don't get it.
Racism in voting patterns can only explain when people vote against the African-American candidate. All votes for the African-American candidate reflect the mature and measured opinion of an engaged and intelligent electorate.
Let us assume, for the sake of argument, that the African-American community holds no racial animus toward Barack Obama. So, if Obama gets 98.5% of the African-American vote, this reflects the vote that he should get in any population that holds no racial animus toward him. So when Barack Obama only gets 36.5% of the white vote, it is abundantly clear that 52% of whites are seething racists who are not voting for Obama just because he is black.
This is not Rocket Science, Sean.
If you are not black and vote against Obama you are a racist.
Accept it and move on.
It will save a lot of typing and free you up to read other material or get on with the household chores!
By the way, I have found nothing in the election laws that say I must vote for Obama because he is black.
(Well actually half white and maybe arab and muslim )
So, have a nice day now that you have come to grips with your inherent racism and move on to something productive.
No problem. That's whatchacall "self-administered political affirmative action."
