I have not seen a statement in print yet, but FoxNews reported that Obama has denied the whole thing. Now that Obama is on record denying this, expect the story to kick into high gear in the coming week.

As others have pointed out, Obama used very Clinton-esque nuance in the article. He only “asked” why they were not “prepared” to wait till after Election Day. He can deny that he put any pressure on them.
