Both to hold rally at Key Air Hangar at Blaine airport

MINNEAPOLIS -- John McCain and runningmate Sarah Palin are set to campaign in the Twin Cities at the end of the week.

The McCain camp says McCain and Palin will hold a rally on Friday morning in the Key Air Hangar at the Anoka County-Blaine Airport. Tickets to the event are available on the campaign's website or at any of the nine McCain campaign offices in Minnesota.

The visit will be the first since John McCain and Sarah Palin accepted their respective nominations at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul the first week of September.

A recent poll by the Star Tribune says that McCain and Obama are tied with Minnesota voters at 45 percent each. Minnesota is considered a swing state.

Minnesota may relate well to Sarah Palin and John McCain (in that order) but it doesn’t help the Dems there to have a candidate like Al Franken on the ballot for Senate either.

Photobucket It would be a pleasant surprise if we could pull out a win there.
