Why Feminists Hate Sarah Palin
Wall Street Journal ^ | September 15, 2008 | CATHY YOUNG

Posted on 09/14/2008 10:48:06 PM PDT by kingattax

Left-wing feminists have a hard time dealing with strong, successful conservative women in politics such as Margaret Thatcher. Sarah Palin seems to have truly unhinged more than a few, eliciting a stream of vicious, often misogynist invective.

On Salon.com last week, Cintra Wilson branded her a "Christian Stepford Wife" and a "Republican blow-up doll." Wendy Doniger, religion professor at the University of Chicago Divinity School, added on the Washington Post blog, "Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman."

You'd think that, whether or not they agree with her politics, feminists would at least applaud Mrs. Palin as a living example of one of their core principles: a woman's right to have a career and a family. Yet some feminists unabashedly suggest that her decision to seek the vice presidency makes her a bad and selfish mother. Others argue that she is bad for working mothers because she's just too good at having it all.

Mrs. Palin admits to having "an incredible support system -- a husband with flexible jobs rather than a competing career . . . and a host of nearby grandparents, aunts, and uncles." Yet, Ms. Marsh charges, she does not endorse government policies to help less-advantaged working mothers -- for instance, by promoting day-care centers.

LOL!

Morons! Day-care centers are not "family".

And besides that, I'll bet she does.

Feminists hate her because she refuses to be a victim.

Feminism has always been about one thing, and one thing only — promoting LIBERALISM.

But when the feminist establishment treats not only pro-life feminism but small-government, individualist feminism as heresy, it writes off multitudes of women.

Gee, I sure hope they learn this lesson before November 4th.

"Wendy Doniger, religion professor at the University of Chicago Divinity School, added on the Washington Post blog, "Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman.""

Typical of the kind of bizarre leftists that have infiltrated most of the major "Divinity Schools" to the point that universities like Chicago, Harvard, Yale, et al should simply abolish their so-called "Divinity School" -- they inculcate leftist hatreds with professors who are predominantly secular leftists or very close to non-believers, even if they still go through some motions.

As for "Professor" Wendy Doniger, we could say that "Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is any kind of Professor of Divinity."

Ah, how did I guess that Wendy Doniger would turn out to be some multi-culti anti-Christian Fembot hag? No wonder she hates Sarah Palin who stands for everything that Wendy Doniger hates. Great "Divinity School" you're running there, U. of Chicago!!

Wendy Doniger Hates Christianity

"Wendy Doniger's research and teaching interests revolve around two basic areas, Hinduism and mythology. Her courses in mythology address themes in cross-cultural expanses; her courses in Hinduism cover a broad spectrum that, in addition to mythology, considers literature, law, gender, and psychology. Cross-cultural offerings have included courses about death, dreams, evil, horses, sex, and women."

A few teasers from Palin: “They hate her because she is not a victim”
They hate her and they can’t bring themselves under control. You’d think after the first rush of wilding, the first cathartic release of boorish and hysterical screams, these people would be able to calm down a little, to get rational, to look beyond the ad hominem. You’d think it, but you’d be wrong. ...

She seems to have driven these people (both male and female, but the women are by far the worst) into the self-destructive revelation that they are ugly, vulgar and tawdry; and even if they could manage to re-hang their curtains, we’ve seen the truth.

Wendy Doniger of U. Chicago’s Divinity School ... is of the opinion that Mrs. Palin, demonstrably female, is not really a woman, although Joe Biden might be. ...

Heather ... Mallick approves of women, but not of females, and she too seems to have trouble distinguishing men from males. What an odd crew. Neo-neocon says more attention must be paid to these women, but not because of their wisdom; because of their weirdness.

That brings us to Cintra Wilson ...
Sarah Palin and her virtual burqa have me and my friends retching into our handbags. She’s such a power-mad, backwater beauty-pageant casualty, it’s easy to write her off and make fun of her. But in reality I feel as horrified as a ghetto Jew watching the rise of National Socialism. ...

The women whom attacks Sarah Palin are NOT feminist. They have no concern for the advancement of women. They only care about a political party that they've become beholden to.

They've essentially surrendered their feminism to become prostitutes for the Democrats

re: "horses, sex, and women"

Yeah, I thought something kinda strange seems to be going on with the Wendy Doniger...... don't want to think about whether she prefers the horses to the women, or all of the above at the same time.....?

Wow! Never seen “Socialism” tied to the Nazi party so plainly. I wonder if she realized she crossed a “party line” in letting THIS cat out of the bag?

These nutcases have it completely reversed. The fascist liberals are much closer to being the National SOCIALISTs (NAZIs) than conservatives are, and the chance of winding up in a burqa is much more likely in the 0bama "let's sit down and talk without any preconditions" scenario than McCain's strong military and security focus.

All one needs to do is look at the Arab countries and leaders who are in support of 0bama to see who is more likely to get us landed in burqas. Especially after 0bie finds his 'authentic self' and reverts to Islam.

If Palin were pro-abortion she would be lauded as the second coming of Hillary.

Cut through all of the layers...the bottom line reason the feminist left hate her is she is because she is stauchly pro-life.

Abortion...one way or the other it’s always about abortion...the holy grail of the left.

The NAZI Party was the National Socialist German Workers Party. No cat in the bag. What’s incredulous is that the leftists call conservatives NAZIs, when the ideology is much closer to their own.

Wow, what a charming 'lady'. But she got it wrong. Sarah's no socialist, she's All-American.

Burka? What about the burka of abortion women have had to bear? Many will never have children or know the joy of ever being a mother- some due to the procedure itself.

Nationalism? I'll take it, if it's All American. If it puts and end to the countless efforts to dismantle this country- the last bastion of freedom anywhere- one ammendment at a time, bring it on!

Sarah's not about putting a burka on anyone. What she stands for is the only guarantee that no one will have to wear a stinking burka: "Liberty for which it stands".

You'd have to be damn dumb and blind to think the way these women do. That, or have an agenda and if they think people are going to sit by and watch them turn this country into the socialist, tyrannical utopia they worship, they'd better think again.
