Can’t be sure about Indiana, Virginia and Pennsy. But NC will probably go red because of the heavy military influence. My son’s a US Army lifer—17 years so far. He’s currently stationed in Hawaii—after four war zone tours I don’t hold that against him. He says there is a lot of political chatter among the soldiers because of Palin. This is the first time he’s heard that.

I think Gov. Palin is the first pres/vp candidate in long time that offers something to vote for. I was not going to vote for McCain. But he picked this conservative woman who is such a breath of fresh air. The trivial stuff the dems are whining about amount to nothing more than a pea bouncing off an Abrams tank.

Too many “ifs” still to go and too many toss-ups for my comfort.

I'm presently living in Mid-Missouri.
I almost cringe when I hear McCain/Palin is leading here in
Missouri.

That's just like shooting up flares to tell the Obama/Binden
people to re-double their efforts at vote fraud in St. Louis.
And Kansas City even if it has less of a reputation for vote fraud.

If we had real "investigative reporters" instead of the liberal-agenda
"journalists" we graduate by the thousands at the U-Missouri
School of Journalism (Uncle Walter Cronkite's alma mater)...
they could truthfully show that vote fraud by the Democrats in
this election was "off the charts".

Exciting yes, but we need to remember the election is still in November. Let’s not get complacent.

Northern VA is overflowing with moonbats, and it’s a growing area. I know VA has always gone GOP but it’s a state that’s getting bluer every day. Lots of minorities, too. I think McCain will still probably pull it out there but it’s not going to be a big margin, IMO.

NoVA, and I live there, is also an area loaded with dual-income families that face exactly the same issues that Sarah Palin speaks directly to. I can tell you from personal (and therefore anecdotal) knowledge that the initial "working mother" slams on Palin didn't go over all that well with the multitude of working moms I know. It doesn't help Obama's case when I follow(ed) up to having such expressed to me with Cokie Roberts' great comment about how women won't vote for Palin just because she's a woman ... but if the Dems beat drums on Mommy-issues women may just get angry enough to vote for her.

Barr will not get more than 1% of the votes in any state and this 1% will make no difference in the outcome of any single state.

Hillary is done running for president. If Obama wins, she will be a supreme court nominee

Never underestimate the American people's ability to see through the hype and recognize a Socialist when they see one.

Excellent point. Many people are so ingrained in their daily lives that make the US economic engine go, that they do not spend as much time on politics as we do here. When they are ready to engage, I am sure McCain will look better in the polls.
