Something else about Cindy. Her dad was a self made MULTI millionaire. She goes to school to become a special needs school teacher. She worked at Aqua Fria HS with children with Down Syndrome. (Not quite the Paris Hilton model of MULTI Millionaire heiress)
She also founded an ran American Voluntary Medical Team, a non profit charity, that sends medical volunteers to poor nations, giving people medical care they desperately need, but can't get, much less afford.
While on one trip to Bangledesh, she met a baby with severe medical needs that her team couldn't care for. Without proper care, that baby would die. She called John up and told him she was having another child. When John met her at the airport, she had two children. John and Cindy adopted 1 (daughter Bridget), and McCain aid Wes Gullet adopted the second (Nikki). Gullet says that his daughter also needed medical care, and that he never once saw a medical bill, that John and Cindy paid everything.
Its one thing to do a mission trip, for a week or two or three, to help people. Its a whole other thing, to adopt a child with severe health issues, and make that child, with her health problems, YOUR child and her problems YOUR problems.
Here's a woman who could have done exactly what Paris Hilton has done. Who could consume her life with parties and fund raisers and social hobnobbing. And though I'm sure that does happen, she also has gone down deep, and done things beyond herself.
Compare that to Michelle Obama.
Cindy McCain, for all the priveledge she has, views life as "what can I do for others?".
Michelle Obama for all her priveledge is only NOW proud of the United States BECAUSE her husband is running for president.
